There I was, sitting in a house with no electricity, four children (two not my own-yay summer) and a random can selection; making my way to the Crappy Deck.
So, at first glance I know what you’re thinking, that is a chick pick for sure; you’d be correct in that assumption. I Randomly selected this beer after staring at this sexy can! What woman doesn’t like a pilot – on a beer! Maybe he has money? In digging into what CAVU was, I found out it stands for “Ceiling and Vision Unlimited” this is a Pilot term hence the sexy Pilot on the can.
Let’s fly into this beer with wings and no electricity.
You might notice that there’s a lot of “head” on this beer and you’d be correct. I don’t know if it was me or the can was compromised, but it foamed up as soon as I opened it. The aroma here was not as pleasing as the can itself, somewhat sulfury with some sweet smell. I’m no beer expert so this is just the layman perspective.
The beer itself is super light. There is a slight honey taste and then the beer kinda goes flat. Overall, I would say that I would not want this again, but some may enjoy a light honey tasting beer that smells sulfury. The excitement for this awesome can went out like my electricity as soon as I opened it. If you do try this, let me know what you think. Until we meet again on the Crappy Deck!
