An evening with Joe; he’s a down to earth business man with a need to finish his day with some black coffee and a cigar. This is how I pictured this beer being drank after tasting it, except I’m on the Crappy Deck and my name isn’t Joe, but I’m drinking it anyway.
You know that fresh ground coffee smell after you open a new can, not one that’s been opened days ago, but a brand new can; that is how this smells. The aroma is ever so slight, just enough to keep you coming back for more. The blonde ale is prefect and upfront and the coffee is the finishing swallow. Catawba’s clever can illustration is a prefect description of this paring. Coffee and Ale!
